Appleton Double Days slug past De Pere, win 10th straight

DE PERE – Make it an even 10 in a row for the Appleton Double Days Legion baseball team as they defeated De Pere 13-9 on Tuesday.
Appleton (11-2) scored five runs in both the third and sixth innings, and added another in the seventh to go up 13-4 lead.
De Pere put up five runs on the bottom of the seventh before Josiah Robbert finished off the victory for the Double Days.
Dawsen Burrington had three hits and scored three times, and Jackson Bines-Sabrowsky had three hits, including two triples, and drove in four to pace the Double Days’ offense. Appleton finished with 14 hits in the victory.
Appleton will finish its regular season Wednesday against Neenah at Koslo Park in Menasha. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
