Appleton Double Days rout Kaukauna at Post 38 Round Robin Tournament

APPLETON – The Appleton Double Days Legion baseball team scored seven times in the opening inning, added nine in the second and roughed up Kaukauna 17-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Appleton Post 38 Legion Baseball Round Robin Tournament at Don Hawkins Field.

The victory is the Double Days’ ninth-straight win as they improve to 10-2 this summer.

Josiah Robbert threw a five-inning complete game for Appleton, striking out three and allowing five hits and two walks.

The Double Days second scheduled game of the day against host Appleton Post 38 was rained out.

Cade Prestigiacomo had three hits, including two doubles, scored three times and drove in three runs to pace the Double Days’ 11-hit attack.

Jack Schlueter had a double and a triple, and scored three times, and Jackson Bines-Sabrowsky also drove in three runs for the Double Days.

The Double Days will be back in action Tuesday at De Pere.
