Appleton Double Days Legion baseball blanks Neenah, finishes regular season on 11-game winning streak

MENASHA – The Appleton Double Days Legion baseball team ended their regular-season schedule with their 11th-straight win, a 6-0 shutout of Neenah on Wednesday at Koslo Park.
T.J. Parker struck out six over four innings and Cade Prestigiacomo had seven strikeouts in three innings as the duo combined on a two-hit shutout for Appleton (12-2).
Prestigiacomo also had a triple and scored twice, Lincoln Thede drove in three runs, and Dawsen Burrington, A.J. Thompson and Mac Kramer each had two hits in the win for the Double Days.
The Double Days will take some time off before opening play at the Class AAA Regional at Don Hawkins Field at Appleton Post 38 on Tuesday when they play Kaukauna at 3 p.m. in the double-elimination tournament.
