NEENAH – The Appleton Double Days posted their second-straight win as Mac Kramer and T.J. Parker combined on a three-hit shutout in a 5-0 win over Neenah on Wednesday night.

Kramer struck out three over 4 1/3 innings to earn the win and Parker had four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings as he picked up the save for Appleton, which improves to 3-2 this season.

Cade Prestigiacomo singled, went to second on a walk, moved up to third on a passed ball and scored on a wild pitch to give the Double Days a 1-0 lead in the opening inning.

Appleton put up another run in the third much the same way. Prestigiacomo singled, a hitter batter and a walk loaded the bases, and he came home on another wild pitch, making it 2-0.

That lead held until the seventh with the Double Days put up three insurance runs. Dawsen Burrington scored on a balk, Lincoln Thede had an RBI single and Prestigiacomo scored again on a fielder’s choice by Jackson Bines-Sabrowsky to finish off the 5-0 win.

The Double Days will host Bay Port at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Koslo Park in Menasha.
