Appleton East girls volleyball sweeps Oshkosh North to pick up first FVA win

APPLETON – The Appleton East girls volleyball team earned its first Fox Valley Association victory of the season, sweeping Oshkosh North on Tuesday night at East High School.

The Patriots won 25-9, 25-14, 25-13, to move its FVA record to 1-2. North is now 0-3.

Zoe Wockenfus had 10 kills and four digs, Emma Decker had eight digs, Addie Wreath had a team-high 11 assists, and Lindsey Gerarad added 10 assists in the win for the Patriots.

Ryley Foley chipped in six kills, Izzy Mead had three aces and five digs, and Maize Smith had three blocks in the win for Appleton East.

Appleton East hosts Neenah for another FVA match on Thursday.
