Xavier girls volleyball rolls to home win over Green Bay East to open Bay Conference schedule

APPLETON – The Xavier girls volleyball team opened its Bay Conference schedule on Thursday night with a 3-0 sweep of Green Bay East in a match held at Xavier High School.

The Hawks won 25-6, 25-5, 25-11.

Setter Mariah Potter had 16 assists, Ali Tylinski and Olivia Neumann each had six kills, and Bella Shea had five digs to lead Xavier in each category.

Neumann also had a team-high eight service aces, Sydney Neilitz added 11 assists and four aces, Madison Daley had five kills, and Jena Bunks had three aces and three digs as well for the Hawks.

Xavier will compete at the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Invitational on Saturday. The Hawks’ next Bay Conference match is Thursday, Sept. 14, at Menasha.
