Kimberly shuts out Appleton North softball

KIMBERLY – Kimberly scored three times in the first two innings and that proved to be enough as it went on to defeat Appleton North 3-0 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Thursday at Sunset Park.

Both teams had just three hits as Appleton North’s Sophia Wald and Charlotte Radtke, and Kimberly’s Paige Schreck and Isabella Elstead were on top of their games in the pitching circle.

Radtke gave up just one hit and no runs with seven strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings of relief for Appleton North (1-5, 0-3 FVA).

Lila Griffith had two of North’s three hits in the loss.

Appleton North will be back in action Tuesday at home against Oshkosh North.
