Strong start pushes Oshkosh West past Appleton North softball

APPLETON – Oshkosh West poured on 14 runs in the first two innings and went on to defeat Appleton North 20-5 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Tuesday at Appleton North High School.
Oshkosh West (5-3, 2-1 FVA) finished with 14 hits, and used nine walks and three errors to blow past the Lightning (1-4, 0-2 FVA).
Valerie Baranczyk had two hits and three RBI in the loss for Appleton North.
Appleton North plays at Kimberly on Thursday.
