Kimberly overwhelms Appleton East baseball

APPLETON – Kimberly stands as the lone undefeated team in the Fox Valley Association baseball standings after pounding Appleton East 22-5 on Tuesday at East High School.
The Papermakers (4-1, 3-0 FVA) scored 14 times in the opening inning and tacked on seven more in the second to win going away.
Cade Prestigiacomo had a double and three RBI, and Daniel Dieck and Nick Verbeten each had a pair of hits for Appleton East, which drops to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the FVA.
Sawyer Deering had three hits, including a double and a triple, and knocked in six to pace Kimberly.
Appleton East will play at Oshkosh North on Thursday.
