Appleton East boys golf wins FVA opener over Appleton North

APPLETON – Owen Lutes shot a six-over par 42 to lead Appleton East to a 178-185 win over Appleton North in the Fox Valley Association boys golf dual meet opener on Monday during windy conditions at Reid Golf Course.

Tyler Bell added a 44 and Max VandenLangenberg had a 45 to help the Patriots to the win.

Charlie Olson birdied the first hole and went on to shoot a 44, and Jonathan Huenink ended up with a 45 to lead Appleton North.

Both teams are back in action Thursday. North will play at Neenah at Ridgeway Country Club, while East will host Hortonville at Reid Golf Course.
