Xavier finishes second at first Bay Conference boys golf meet of season

SEYMOUR – All five of Xavier’s golfers shot 45 or under as the Hawks placed second at the first Bay Conference Boys Golf Tournament meet on Thursday at Crystal Springs Golf Couse.

Host Seymour edged Xavier 167-168 to win the team title as Owen Sigl won medalist honors for the Thunder with a 37.

Derek Watry was second with a 40, Kyle Watry tied for fourth with a 42, Jack Schmidtke and Jonah Gentry were among four tied for sixth with a 43, and Grant Neumann shot a 45 for Xavier.

The second Bay Conference meet will be Tuesday at Shamrock Heights Golf Course in New London.
