Xavier baseball held to two hits in loss to Shawano

SHAWANO – Shawano busted open a tight game with a seven-run third inning and went on to defeat Xavier 11-1 in a Bay Conference baseball game Thursday at Memorial Park.
Xavier (0-3, 0-2 Bay Conference) was held to two hits and scored its only run in the fourth thanks to three walks and a passed ball.
Matthew Potter had a double and Gavin Wiese singled for Xavier’s two hits.
The two teams will play again Friday at Don Hawkins Field in Appleton. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
