APPLETON – Three Seymour pitchers held Xavier to just one hit and won the Bay Conference baseball opener for both teams 13-0 on Tuesday at Don Hawkins Field.
Seymour (1-1 overall) scored five times in the top of the first inning and tacked on at least one run in its next four at-bats to win in five innings due to the 10-run rule.
The Thunder had four triples among their nine hits.
Xavier will play at Shawano on Thursday before hosting Shawano on Friday.
