Shawano downs Xavier in Bay Conference softball opener

APPLETON – Shawano took advantage of seven Xavier errors and went on to a 14-2 win in the Bay Conference softball opener for both teams on Tuesday at Xavier High School.

Shawano (3-2 overall) scored seven times in the third inning to break a scoreless tie and tacked on seven more over the next two innings to finish off the game due to the 10-run rule after five innings.

Xavier (2-1 overall) finished with four hits, with Elsa Dvoracek and Jennifer Lueck each driving in runs.

Xavier will play another Bay Conference game at West De Pere on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
