Xavier boys basketball upsets top-seed Laconia in WIAA Division 3 regional final

ROSENDALE – The Xavier boys basketball team went on the road for the second-straight day and came away with another big playoff win.
The No. 5 seeded Hawks overcame a four-point halftime deficit to defeat No. 1 seed Laconia 67-62 in a WIAA Division 3 regional final Saturday night at Laconia High School.
Xavier (21-6) moves on to a D-3 sectional semifinal against No. 3 seed Little Chute on Wednesday at Menasha beginning at 7 p.m.
Logan Ramczyk scored a game-high 22 points, and Kyler Bleck and Luke Oelhafen each added 11 in the victory for Xavier, which reaches the sectionals for the third-straight season.
Cash Farrell led Laconia (21-5) with 20 points.
