FVL’s Kufner finishes fourth, Xavier’s Faulkner drops consolation match at WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament

MADISON – Fox Valley Lutheran junior Austin Kufner earned a fourth-place medal as the 2025 WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament concluded at the Kohl Center on Saturday.

Kufner lost a Division 2 165-pound third-place match by pin to Drake Petersen of St. Croix Falls in 2:49. Kufner places fourth and finishes the season with a 40-6 record.

Xavier’s Madeline Faulker had her season end in the girls 138-pound consolation semifinals as she lost 7-3 to Natalie Poplawski of New Berlin West/Eisenhower. Faulkner finishes her year with a 46-11 record.
