Xavier boys basketball rolls to road win at New London

NEW LONDON – The Xavier boys basketball team wrapped up its regular-season and Bay Conference schedule with a 78-61 dismantling of New London on Thursday at New London High School.

The Hawks put up 43 points in the first half to open up a double-digit lead and rolled to the road win, finishing the regular season at 18-6 overall and in second place in the Bay Conference at 12-2.

Luke Oelhafen had 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Logan Ramczyk finished with 18 poitnsa nd nine assists for Xavier.

The Hawks made 13 3-pointers, including four by Kyler Bleck, in the victory.

Joseph Daly had a game-high 25 points for New London (9-15, 6-8 Bay).

Xavier will host Ripon in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
