Appleton North boys basketball cruises to home win over Appleton East

APPLETON – The Appleton North boys basketball team used a big first-half surge to defeat Appleton East 72-51 in a Fox Valley Association game Thursday night at North High School.
The win snaps a three-game losing skid for the Lightning, who improve to 14-7 overall and 11-6 in the FVA.
Abraham Tomori hit three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points, Will Sweeney added 15 and Matt Rosplochowski also made three 3s and chipped in 13 points for Appleton North.
Statistics for Appleton East (6-17, 4-13 FVA) were not reported.
Appleton North hosts Oconomowoc for a nonconference game Saturday at 6 p.m.
Appleton East’s next game is its last of the regular season on Thursday at home against Kimberly.
