Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball defeats Luxemburg-Casco, loses to Wausau East

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball team split a pair of home games early this week, downing Luxemburg-Casco 60-31 in a North Eastern Conference game on Monday before dropping a 62-43 decision to Wausau East in nonconference action Tuesday.

The Foxes dominated Luxemburg-Casco from the start, jumping out to a 30-10 lead by halftime and finished off the victory to improve to 10-6 in the NEC.

Caleb Dahlke scored 15 points to lead a balanced attack for the Foxes and 11 different players scored in the game.

On Tuesday, the Foxes could not dig out of a hole in the first half after Wausau East (16-5) took a seven-point lead into halftime.

Gabe Heiges, Lucas Papendorf and Caleb Dahlke each scored 10 points in the loss for FVL (13-8).

Fox Valley Lutheran will be at home again Friday against Waupaca.
