Appleton East girls basketball cruises to home win over Appleton West

APPLETON – Appleton East knocked down 11 3-pointers and doubled up Appleton West by halftime, rolling to a 74-33 win in Fox Valley Association girls basketball action Friday at East High School.
Appleton East (13-8, 12-5 FVA) is now 10-2 since early January and will play three games in four days to finish its regular season, starting with a nonconference matchup at Wisconsin Valley Conference champion Stevens Point on Monday.
Ella Sweeney finished with 20 points, Torie Neubauer added 14 and Lilly Meulemans had 11 for the Patriots.
Madison Milhaupt led Appleton West (1-22, 0-17 FVA) with 13 points.
West’s final game of the regular season Tuesday at Hortonville.
