Appleton North girls basketball grabs road win at D.C. Everest

WESTON – The Appleton North girls basketball team picked up a comfortable 48-31 nonconference win over D.C. Everest on Monday at D.C. Everest High School.
Avery Werfal finished with 25 points to lead the way for the Lightning, who improve to 8-12 this season.
The Lightning led 22-17 at halftime and held D.C. Everest (7-13) to 14 points in the second half to finish off the victory, their third in the last five games.
Appleton North jumps right back into action Tuesday with a Fox Valley Association game at home against Kaukauna, the first of three home games to finish off its regular-season schedule. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
