Appleton East boys basketball drops home game to first-place Kaukauna

APPLETON – Kaukauna raced out to a 24-point lead by halftime and went on to defeat Appleton East 86-42 in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Tuesday at East High School.

Kaukauna led 43-19 at intermission and built on its lead in the second half to win and keep pace with Fond du Lac atop the FVA standings as both teams are now 9-2.

Andrew Jensen scored 30 points, and Jonah Roehrig and Keegan Van Kauwenberg each chipped in 14 for the Ghosts (13-3 overall).

DaKing Clemens had 11 points and Cade Prestigiacomo 10 for Appleton East, which falls to 5-11 overall and 3-8 in the FVA.

Appleton East travels to Oshkosh North for another FVA game on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
