Xavier girls basketball upends Waupun

APPLETON – The Xavier girls basketball team took control early and went on to defeat Waupun 55-45 in a nonconference game Tuesday at Xavier High School.

Xavier has now won four of its last five games to climb back to .500 at 6-6.

The Hawks led 31-18 after the first half and were able to finish off the win.

Brynn Krull had 16 points and Alexandra Tylinski scored 12 for Xavier.

Lydia Aalsma had a game-high 17 points for Waupun (6-8).

Xavier hosts Shawano for a Bay Conference game Friday at 7 p.m.
