Appleton East boys basketball holds off Oshkosh West

OSHKOSH – Following a seven-game losing streak, the Appleton East boys basketball team won its second in a row, downing Oshkosh West 55-45 in Fox Valley Association action Friday night at Oshkosh West High School.
Cade Prestigiacomo made four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points, and Jacob Weisbach made all 12 of his free throw attempts to end up with 14 points for the Patriots, who are now 5-7 overall and 3-4 in the FVA.
Noah Gelhar had 13 points for Oshkosh West (3-8, 1-6 FVA).
Appleton East will host a girls-boys doubleheader against Appleton North on Tuesday. The girls game begins at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
