Shawano/Bonduel surges past Fox Cities Stars boys hockey

SHAWANO – Shawano/Bonduel scored four unanswered goals over the second and third periods to defeat the Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team 4-2 in a nonconference game Friday night at the Crawford Center.

Ryan Ostermann scored in the opening period for the Stars (6-8) before Shawano/Bonduel pulled in front with a pair of goals by Gavin Hundt in the second period and two more in the first 10½ minutes of the third.

Xander Herron added a late goal for Fox Cities to provide the final margin.

Fox Cities will host a Badgerland Conference game against Waupun on Tuesday at Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah.
