West De Pere powers past Xavier in Bay Conference boys basketball showdown

DE PERE – West De Pere took a double-digit lead by halftime and prevailed over Xavier 76-53 in a battle of Bay Conference boys basketball leader Friday night at West De Pere High School.
West De Pere is now 6-4 overall and 5-0 in the Bay, opening up a 1½ game lead over Xavier, which falls to 9-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Logan Ramczyk made all eight of his free throw attempts and scored a team-high 26 points for Xavier, netting nearly half of the Hawks’ points. No other player scored more than nine.
West De Pere statistics were not reported.
Xavier plays at Seymour on Tuesday.
