Appleton West wrestling knocks off Appleton East in FVA dual

APPLETON – Appleton West won five matches by pin and another three by technical fall to outlast Appleton East 49-30 in a Fox Valley Association wrestling dual Tuesday night at Appleton East High School.

Jevonte Johnson (285 pounds), Ben Hilbert (138), Lucas Collar (144), Kassius Daniels (150) and Maxwell Hein (157) all won by pin for the Terrors.

Jackson Raeck (113), Colton Hoeltzel (126) and Abdelrahman Zeineldin (175) added tech fall wins for Appleton West.

All five of Appleton East’s wins came by pin as Carlos Nunn (215), Ido Vang (106), Paul Martin (120), Xander Schiltz (132) and Cian Braun (190) were victories for the Patriots.

Both teams are now 2-2 in FVA duals this season.

Appleton East will wrestle along with Hortonville at an FVA triangular at Kimberly, while Appleton West hosts Oshkosh West, on Thursday.
