Verona edges Appleton North boys basketball

MADISON – The Appleton North boys basketball team lost a tight one Saturday at the 60Eight Tournament at Madison College, falling to Verona 64-60.
Abraham Tomori made eight of nine shots from the field, including two 3-pointers, and scored a team-high 18 points for the Lightning, who fall to 2-2 this season.
Grant Hardy added 14 points and Matt Rosplochowski 10 for Appleton North.
Cameron Williams led Verona (5-1) with 22 points.
Appleton North will play at Oshkosh West on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
