Appleton North boys basketball hits century mark in home win over Appleton West

APPLETON – Fourteen different Appleton North players scored in a balanced attack as the Lightning defeated Appleton West 100-63 in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Friday night at North High School.
The Lightning (2-1, 1-1 FVA) took a 42-28 lead into halftime and rolled to a 58-point second half to hit the century mark and finish off the 37-point victory.
Grant Hardy had 18 points, Will Sweeney finished with 17, and Abraham Tomori had 16 in the win for Appleton North.
Parrion Peace led Appleton West (1-3, 0-2 FVA) with 14 points. Chrishawn Salley chipped in 12 and Lucas Downs 10 in the loss for the Terrors.
Appleton North will travel to Madison College to take on Verona as part of the 60Eight Tournament on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Lightning return to FVA action Tuesday at Oshkosh West.
Appleton West’s next game is Tuesday at Kimberly.
