Appleton West girls basketball falls at Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC – Lila Johnson made five 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead Fond du Lac to a 65-37 win over Appleton West in a Fox Valley Association girls basketball game Tuesday at Fond du Lac High School.
The Cardinals took control with a dominating 42-14 first half and even their record at 4-4 overall (2-1 FVA) with the win.
Allysen Buss had 14 points for Appleton West (1-4, 0-3 FVA).
Appleton West will play at Appleton North on Friday as part of a Fox Valley Association girls-boys doubleheader. The girls game begins at 6 p.m., with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
