Hortonville powers past Appleton North girls basketball

APPLETON – Hortonville standout Rainey Welson poured in 36 points to help lift the Polar Bears to a 79-58 win over Appleton North in a Fox Valley Association girls basketball game Friday night at North High School.
Kardyn Peppler chipped in 21 points for Hortonville, which is now 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the FVA.
Tay Maass continued her strong start to the season for Appleton North (3-2, 0-2 FVA), scoring 29 points.
Appleton North will host Xavier in a nonconference matchup Monday at 7:30 p.m.
