Fox Cities Stars boys hockey shuts out Waupaca

WAUPACA – Goalie Elliot Reichenberger saved all 24 shots he saw and helped the Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team to a 5-0 shutout of Waupaca in the season-opener for both teams on Friday night at the Waupaca Expo Center.
Ryan Ostermann scored twice, and Parker Janesen, Preston McGinnis and Cale Adamovich added goals for the Stars, who finished with a 34-24 shot advantage.
Cam Collins, Ostermann, Cale Adamovich and Nathan Muller tallied assists in the win for Fox Cities.
The Stars jump right back into action Saturday against Cedarburg in their home opener at 8 p.m. at Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah.
