Xavier girls volleyball finishes off unbeaten Bay Conference title with sweep of New London

APPLETON – The Xavier girls volleyball team sewed up its 10th-straight Bay Conference title and an undefeated conference campaign with a 3-0 sweep of New London in its regular-season finale Tuesday night at Xavier High School.

The Hawks won 25-14, 25-10, 25-10, to finish the Bay Conference season with a perfect 7-0 record and move to 24-15 overall.

Madison Daley had 14 kills and 11 digs, and Sydney Neilitz finished with 31 assists to lead the way for Xavier.

Ali Tylinski added 12 kills and seven digs, Elle Downs had seven kills, and Bella Velasquez had six assists and five digs for the Hawks.

The WIAA postseason brackets will be released Wednesday, with the playoffs beginning with regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, Oct. 22, and regional semifinals on Thursday, Oct. 24.
