Oshkosh West outlasts Appleton East girls volleyball

APPLETON – Oshkosh West won the final two sets to pull out a 3-1 win over Appleton East in a Fox Valley Association girls volleyball match Tuesday night at Appleton East High School.

Oshkosh West won 25-16, 18-25, 25-13, 25-14, improving to 6-1 in FVA matches this season. Appleton East is now 3-4.

Zoe Wockenfuss had 17 kills, Reese Reichelt added 10 kills, Josie Heisler led the defense with 12 digs and Opal Sparkman had 36 assists for Appleton East.

MaKaelyn Clark finished with 47 assists, Elaina Butz finished with 15 digs and Sydnee Nelson had 15 kills to lead Oshkosh West.

Appleton East will travel across town to Appleton North for another FVA match on Thursday at 7 p.m.
