Kimberly sweeps Appleton East girls tennis

APPLETON – Kimberly won six of the seven matches in straight sets and sent down Appleton East 7-0 in a Fox Valley Association girls tennis dual Tuesday at East High School.

East’s No. 3 doubles team of Hope Bruce and Sadie Kraft took Kimberly’s Sydney Weyenberg and Madeline Vandenberg to three sets, but lost a tiebreaker as the Papermakers earned the sweep.

Appleton East (2-6 FVA) will travel to Neenah for its final conference dual meet on Thursday.
