Xavier boys soccer plays to tie with Shawano

SHAWANO – The Xavier and Shawano boys soccer teams battled to a 2-2 tie in a Bay Conference match Tuesday at Shawano High School.

Ben Kaufman scored in the first half and John Vanden Brink added a goal in the second half for Xavier, which moves to 9-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the Bay Conference. West De Pere leads the conference standings at 5-0.

Reuben De Gaspari and Kody Popelka scored for Shawano (7-3-2, 2-1-1 Bay Conference).

Xavier will host New London on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
