Appleton West girls tennis moves to 5-0 in FVA with win at Appleton East

APPLETON – The Appleton West girls tennis team ran its record to a perfect 5-0 in the Fox Valley Association with a 5-2 win over Appleton East on Monday at East High School.

Kami Beyersdorf (No. 2 singles) and Molly Buettner (No. 4 singles) won in straight sets, and Appleton West also won all three doubles matches.

The Terrors are now tied for first place in the FVA standings with Neenah. The two teams will play Thursday at Neenah.

East’s lone wins came from Aubrie Erickson at No. 1 singles and Kalayna Small at No. 3 singles.

Appleton East (1-4 FVA) will host Oshkosh West and Appleton West will be at home against Kimberly on Tuesday. Both matches start at 4 p.m.
