Fond du Lac blanks Appleton West softball

APPLETON – Fond du Lac scored 12 times in the first inning and rolled to a 15-0 win over Appleton West in a Fox Valley Association softball game that ended after three innings due to the 15-run rule.

The Terrors had five hits but could not push a runner across home plate, falling to 1-18 overall and 0-16 in the FVA this season. Morgan Baehman had two of West’s hits.

Mackenna Schultis a single, a double and a triple, and drove in two runs for Fond du Lac (12-12, 5-12 FVA).

Appleton West hosts Hortonville at the Nienhaus Sports Complex on Wednesday at 5 p.m. before wrapping up its regular season at Oshkosh West on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
