Potter homers for Xavier softball in win over Two Rivers

APPLETON – Addison Hervey and Mariah Potter combined on a four-hitter as the Xavier softball team defeated Two Rivers 5-1 in a nonconference game Friday at Xavier High School.

Hervey struck out four in 4 1/3 innings, and Potter finished up with 2 2/3 shutout innings with seven strikeouts.

Both also shined at the plate as Hervey went 3-for-3 with two RBI and Potter smacked a solo home run.

Abby Ourada added three hits and scored twice for the Hawks (7-11).

Xavier will play its regular-season finale Monday at Waupun.
