Fond du Lac defeats Appleton North in FVA boys golf dual

APPLETON – Appleton North sophomore Jon Huenink shot an even par 35 to win medalist honors in the Lightning’s 151-162 dual meet loss to Fond du Lac on Thursday at Reid Golf Course.

Fond du Lac’s Will Mauthe finished a stroke behind with a 36 and Cole Thorin added a 37 for the Cardinals (5-3 Fox Valley Association).

Drew Rudolf and Dax Macklin both shot 41, Mason Bernhardt had a 45 and Nolan Shea shot 46 for Appleton North.

Appleton North (2-6 FVA) will finish its conference dual meet schedule Friday at Reid against Neenah.
