New London blanks Xavier softball

NEW LONDON – New London used a 10-run fourth inning to finish off Xavier in four innings and win 16-0 in a Bay Conference softball game Thursday at Memorial Park.

The Hawks (6-11, 4-8 Bay Conference) were held to four hits and committed seven errors in the road loss.

Elsa Dvoracek had two of Xavier’s hits.

Kenna Mix tossed the complete game on the mound for New London (16-2, 7-2 Bay Conference) and had two hits and four RBI.

Xavier hosts Two Rivers for a nonconference game on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
