Xavier softball grabs walk-off win over West De Pere

APPLETON – Kaila Stammer walked with two outs and in the bottom of the seventh inning and came around to score on a misplayed fly ball as the Xavier softball team earned a walk-off 4-3 win over West De Pere in a Bay Conference matchup Tuesday at Xavier High School.

Xavier led 3-2 following RBI singles by Addison Hervey and Ella Bauman in the sixth before West De Pere (7-10, 3-6 Bay Conference) was able to tie the game with a run in the top of the seventh.

Hervey earned the win with a complete game for Xavier (6-10, 4-7 Bay Conference), striking out eight with five walks and four hits allowed.

Abby Ourada and Stammer each finished with two hits in the win for the Hawks.

Xavier hosts St. Mary Catholic for a nonconference game Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Xavier High School.
