Two Xavier boys golfers finish in top 10 as Hawks placed fourth at Waukesha West Invitational

WAUKESHA – The Xavier boys golf team earned a fourth-place finish at the 22-team Waukesha West Invitational on Monday at The Legend at Merrill Hills Golf Cours.e
Oconomowoc had three golfers finish in the top 10 to earn the team championship with a score of 308. Waterford was a distant second with a 322 and Xavier took fourth with a 327.
Jackson Albee of Waukesha Catholic Memorial won medalist honors with a 72, one stroke ahead of Lake Geneva Badger’s Charlie Huerth.
Grant Neumann shot a 76 to finish in a three-way tie for fourth and Jon Bertram had a 78, ending up in a three-way tie for eighth place to lead Xavier.
Jonah Gentry added an 85, Jack Schmidtke shot 88 and Kyle Watry had a 92 as well for Xavier.
Xavier will host the fifth leg of the Bay Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Butte des Morts Country Club.
