Appleton West baseball cruises past Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC – Appleton West’s Loren Georger and Ryder Hoffman combined on a two-hitter as the Terrors defeated Fond du Lac 7-1 in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Thursday at Fond du Lac High School.

Georger struck out 12 in 6 1/3 innings to earn the win and Hoffman finished up, getting the final two outs for the save as the Terrors improve to 3-6 overall and 3-5 in the FVA.

Georger also added two doubles and two RBI, and Hoffman went 4-for-5 and scored three times for Appleton West.

Appleton West will host Pulaski for a nonconference game Friday at 5 p.m. at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
