Xavier takes third place at third Bay Conference Boys Golf Tournament meet

SEYMOUR – Jon Bertram fired a 39 to finish third and help Xavier to a third-place finish at the third Bay Conference Boys Golf Tournament meet of the spring on Tuesday at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Seymour won the team title with a score of 162, five shots ahead of West De Pere. Xavier had a 173 to take four, six shots in front of New London.

Mason Haupt of West De Pere shot a 37 to earn medalist honors, one stroke ahead of Seymour’s Vince Sigl. Bertram was next with a 39.

Jack Schmidtke had a 42 to tie for sixth, Grant Neumann and Jonah Gentry both shot 46 and Kyle Watry had a 49 to round out the scoring for Xavier.

The fourth tournament meet will be next Tuesday, April 30, at Shawano Lake Golf Course.
