Waupun surges past Fox Valley Lutheran baseball

WAUPUN – Undefeated Waupun used an eight-run sixth inning to push past Fox Valley Lutheran 11-5 in an opening-round game at the Waupun Baseball Invitational on Friday.

The Foxes scored three times in the second inning and twice in the fifth to take a 5-3 lead before the big inning for Waupun (8-0).

Fox Valley Lutheran (4-4) was held to three hits, including a double by Brady Nilson.

Mason Holz had a single, and a three-run triple in the decisive sixth-inning rally for Waupun.

FVL will play two more games at Waupun on Saturday.
