Appleton North posts 17 victories in home track & field triangular

APPLETON – Appleton North hosted a Fox Valley Association track & field triangular on Tuesday with Fond du Lac and Oshkosh North providing the competition.
Team scores were not provided, but Appleton North did post 17 victories.
Hailey Luedtke was a double-winner for the North girls, taking first in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.51 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 53.55 seconds.
Other individual winners for the Lightning girls were Emily Thompson in the 100 (13.10), Ava Helmbrecht in the 400 (1:04.23), Bella Tabbert in the triple jump (32 feet, 1 inch) and Isabella Leiva in the discus (91-1).
The North girls also got wins from the 800 relay (1:50.54), 1,600 relay (4:46.31) and the 3,200 relay (10:19.02).
The Appleton North boys had six individual and two relay victories.
Langston Moran won the 400 (54.58), Riley Szymik was first in the 800 (2:06.29), Caleb Hardy won the 1,600 (4:50.83), Mark Lynch won the 300 hurdles (43.04), Adrion Rogers finished first in the long jump (18-11) and Abraham Tomori was victorious in the triple jump (41-10) for the Lightning.
Appleton North also won the 400 relay in 45.43 seconds and the 3,200 relay in 9:31.11.
Appleton North will compete at the Green Bay Preble Invitational on Thursday.
