Menasha wins pitchers’ duel over Xavier baseball

MENASHA – Menasha pitcher Ian Dohms held Xavier to one hit in a 2-1 win over the Bluejays in a Bay Conference baseball game Tuesday at Kolso Park.

Menasha (5-1, 4-1 Bay Conference) scored its runs on RBI singles by Jake Osentoski in the second and Dohms in the third.

Dohms did the rest on the mound, giving up one unearned run in the top of the fourth. He finished with seven strikeouts and three walks, allowing just a single to Parker Bleck in the fourth. Bleck would score the Hawks’ (4-5, 1-4 Bay Conference) only run on an error.

The two teams will play again Thursday at Xavier at 4:30 p.m.
