Xavier ties for third at second Bay Conference Boys Golf Meet

DE PERE – Jon Bertram shot a 41 to lead Xavier to a third-place finish at the second Bay Conference Boys Golf Tournament meet of the spring season on Tuesday at Mid-Vallee Golf Course.

West De Pere won the team title with a 159, three shots ahead of Seymour. Xavier and New London tied for third with scores of 171.

Mason Haupt of West De Pere was meet medalist with a 37, one stroke ahead of Seymour’s Vince Sigl and Owen Sigl.

Bertram tied for seventh place, one shot ahead of teammates Grant Neumann and Jonah Gentry. Kyle Watry added a 44 and Jack Schmidtke had a 45 as well for the Hawks.

Xavier will compete at the Appleton City Meet at North Shore Country Club on Monday. The next Bay Conference Meet is next Tuesday, April 23, at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Seymour.
