Kaukauna softball no-hits Appleton West

APPLETON – Three Kaukauna pitchers combined on a no-hitter as the undefeated Ghosts beat Appleton West 15-0 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Thursday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.

Kaukauna pitchers Karly Meredith, Grace Schomin and Brenna Matthies did not allow a hit in the five-inning game, which ended via the 10-run rule. Matthies earned the win, striking out seven in 3 2/3 innings of relief.

Raivyn Rabideau had three hits, including a double and a home run, and drove in four for the Ghosts (3-0 overall and FVA). Jozy Ebben added three hits and scored twice for Kaukauna.

Madison Buchinger suffered the loss for Appleton West, which falls to 0-3 overall and in the FVA.

Appleton West’s next game is Tuesday at home against Neenah beginning at 5 p.m.
